On 3 April 2026, the Public Monitoring Group conducted an unannounced visit to Yerevan-Kentron Penitentiary. During the visit, members of the Group toured the facility and examined the conditions of detention for persons deprived of liberty. The Group also held individual meetings with persons deprived of liberty to hear their concerns and gather information regarding their conditions and the exercise of their rights. The information collected is currently undergoing detailed review and analysis. Upon completion of the assessment, the Public Monitoring Group will submit its findings and official communications to the relevant state authorities.
