Public Discussion Held on Challenges in Armenia’s Penitentiary Institutions

On 30 April, at 1:30 p.m., a public discussion entitled "Challenges in the Penitentiary Institutions of the Republic of Armenia" was held at the Media Center. The discussion featured Sergey Gabrielian, Head of the Public Monitoring Group, along with Group members Arman Sahakyan, Shushan Khnkoyan, and Mher Karagozyan. During the discussion, the speakers presented the findings of the monitoring activities carried out and currently being conducted by the Public Monitoring Group in penitentiary institutions under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia. ❗The Public Monitoring Group emphasizes that the documented violations should not be used for electoral or political purposes, nor should they serve as grounds for targeting or stigmatizing individuals.
