David Minasyan, Involved in the Incident with the Prime Minister, Is Receiving Medical Care at Armavir Penitentiary

On 14 April 2026, the Public Monitoring Group conducted an unannounced visit to Armavir Penitentiary. During the visit, the Group met with 18-year-old David Minasyan, one of the brothers involved in the incident at St. Anna Church during the visit of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Due to health problems, he has been transferred to the medical unit of the penitentiary. He had previously been hospitalized at Nairi Medical Center. The observers also met with other persons deprived of liberty, who raised concerns about illnesses that may be incompatible with continued imprisonment and the lack of psychological support. The information collected during the visit is currently undergoing detailed review and analysis. Upon completion of the assessment, the Public Monitoring Group will submit its findings and official communications to the relevant state authorities.
