Prison Monitoring Group Holds Meeting and Extends Chair’s Term

On January 29, 2026, a meeting of the Prison Monitoring Group (PMG) was held. During the meeting, issues related to the Group’s ongoing activities, as well as a number of organizational matters, were discussed. In particular, a commission was established for the purpose of reviewing membership applications. Summarizing the agenda of the meeting, the Group members adopted a decision, in accordance with the established procedure, to extend the term of the Group Chair, Sergey Gabrielian, by an additional four months. This decision was based on the Chair’s effective performance and the need to ensure continuity in the Group’s work.
