Mission
On October 1st, 2010 in the result of severe beatings 20-year-old Zaruhi Petrosyan died. Of course, Zaruhi’s case was not the only one, but it was fatal, as it contributed to raising the phenomenon of domestic violence, illustration of DV cases hidden in our society by mass media , awareness raising for the citizens of the phenomenon of domestic violence.
After the incident, 7 companies merged and formed “The Coalition to stop Violence against Women”, which called for a fair trial and prevention of such cases and the adoption of the preventive legislation of domestic violence. Although the phenomenon of domestic violence remains one of the key issues in the country, however, is not regulated by law.

The Foundation Against the Violation of Law (FAVL) was founded in the fall of 1991. The organization focused its initial efforts on freeing the mass number of hostages, prisoners, and refugees which resulted from this shocking breach of fundamental human rights.
By April 14, 1992, FAVL became officially registered as an NGO and expanded its work to include facilitating prisoner exchanges between Armenia and Azerbaijan. By 1995, the organization shifted beyond individual, voluntary efforts and began cementing itself as a leading champion of human rights in independent Armenia.

“PINK” human rights defender NGO was established and registered in 2007 in Armenia originally as “Public Information and Need for Knowledge”. In 2019, after updating its charter, the organizatin was re-registered as “Pink” human rights defender NGO.
PINK’s vision is the society, where human rights of all are protected and everybody is accepted regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity and/or gender expression.
The organization’s mission is to create a safe space for LGBT people by promoting well-being and protection in all spheres of life.

“New Generation” Humanitarian NGO (NGNGO) is a non-governmental organization established in 1998 to promote the protection of human rights and advocacy of the society, access to health services and HIV Prevention, provide material and non-material assistance to private individuals and legal bodies, and carry out various effective social initiatives, including support in the implementation of the obligations assumed by the Republic of Armenia under 1975, Helsinki Final Act of Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe, and 1948, UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the international agreements accepted within their framework, as well as other international legal acts on Human Rights Protection.

The "Protection of Rights without Borders" non-governmental organization was established in 2009. It’s a non-profitable organization, which aims at the protection of the human rights, strengthening the rule of law and good governance principals in Armenia.
